Juanita Deison Obituary

Juanita "Janie" Deison

1931-2023

Juanita "Janie" Deison, a resident of Albuquerque, NM, was welcomed to Heaven by our Lord Jesus to dance on the streets of gold on December 4, 2023. After her first dance with Jesus, you can bet her next dance was with her devoted husband, Lewis, who preceded her to Heaven.

Services will be held at Our Lady of Annunciation Catholic Church 2621 Vermont Albuquerque, NM, 87110 on Monday, December 18, 2023, beginning with a Visitation at 9:30 a.m., Rosary at 10:00 a.m., and a Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. A Celebration of Life and Interment will be held privately for the family. Interment will take place at the Santa Fe National Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest with her husband.

Juanita is survived by her daughters, Patsy Boucher-Black and Brenda Kijowski; son-in-law, Tom Murphy; grandchildren, Sonja Boucher, Alexis Rascon, Garret Kijowski, and Lewis and Robert Murphy; great-grandchildren, Hayley Boucher, Amelia Zuni, Uriah and Averyi Rascon and Lanie and Lawrence Kijowski; great-great-grandchild, Aubrianna Boucher; brother, Dean Delgado; sister, Lana Perea; and many nephews, nieces and more greats from the Deison's and Delgado's who were greatly loved and have wonderful stories of their Aunt Janie.

She is preceded in death by her daughter, Lois Murphy; sons-in-law, James Boucher, Mark Black, and Larry Kijowski; great-grandson, Malachi Rascon; ten brothers; and one sister.

Juanita had a beautiful life; the first part was spent traveling the world with Lewis. She was an entrepreneur; opening salons, restaurants, food trucks (wagons), and working with race horses. Juanita was an amazing woman with great perseverance and taught us how to work hard and love even harder. Her greatest accomplishment was raising her three daughters during all her hard work and teaching us and all of the grandchildren about Jesus. Juanita prayed every morning for hours beginning at 3:00 a.m. Her love for Jesus and Intercession was most important to her. Juanita loved her church family and was an active Marianite and Lay Canossian Sister. She loved taking communion to those who could not attend church anymore. Special Mention to all the Caregivers that the Lord Jesus sent to us to help, her church family and Marianites; and for all the prayers said during her preparation to Heaven, we thank you so much.
