Juanita Quiroz "Janie" Doporto

Funeral Services for Juanita (Janie) Quiroz Doporto, 85, of Lovington, New Mexico will be held on Thursday, October 31, 2024 at 10:00 am at Church of Living Waters with Pastor Arthur Sanchez officiating. Burial will follow at Lovington Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Kirby-Ratliff Funeral Home. Janie was born on May 16, 1939 in Carlsbad, New Mexico to Enrique and Eugenia (Gutierrez) Quiroz and passed away on October 27, 2024. Janie married Ernesto Ortega Doporto on March 14, 1956 in Carlsbad, New Mexico they were married 68 years. Janie enjoyed attending Church. She liked to sing and eat ice cream. Janie liked watching sports she enjoyed attending her children and grandchildren's games. She liked going to all kinds of party's whether it was a wedding, baby showers, birthday, or Quinceañera's. Janie liked spending time with her family and loved her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Enrique and Eugenia Quiroz; one son: Ernesto Doporto Jr.; one daughter: Patricia Soto; four brothers: Manuel Quiroz, Ben Quiroz, Ismael Quiroz and Henry Gutierrez; three sisters: Zenida (Sandy) Ortega, Eulalia Garcia and Lillie Harback.
She is survived by her husband: Ernesto Doporto Sr.; two sons: Barney Doporto and wife Tammy and Jeremy Doporto and wife Analisa; one daughter: Debbie and husband Doug Grimes; three brothers: Julian Quiroz, Salvador Quiroz, and Luis Quiroz; three sisters: Emma Espinoza, Elva Valenzuela, and Yolanda Fabela; ten grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 30, 2024 2:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Kirby-Ratliff Funeral Home.
