Juanita Fortner Obituary
A native of Bryan County, she was the daughter of the late Brooks Cecil Shuman and the late Catherine Felder..
She was a member of the Garden City Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. Juanita loved gardening and was known for her Amaryllis and Roses.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, D.C. Fortner; siblings, William C. Shuman, Ronald Hughes, Donald Hughes and Patsy Scarborough.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Cecil and Janene Fortner; daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Richard "Richie" Jones; grandchildren, Kari Scott (Kenny), Kevin Fortner (Ashley), Jonathan Jones (Stephanie); 5 great grandchildren, Dominic, Abby, Julia, Zachary, Kora; a sister, Catherine Godbee; several nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held Saturday, October 15, 2022 from 3:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home with services beginning at 4:00 p.m.. Burial will be private.
