Juanita Gerber Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Oct. 2, 2025.
Juanita (Reas) Gerber, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully at age 90 surrounded by her children.

Known for her spirited personality, sharp wit, and competitive streak, Juanita brought joy and laughter to everyone around her. She loved bingo, cribbage, Scrabble, and any game-especially when she won. Her quick mind and playful humor made her both a worthy opponent and a cherished teammate.

Family was always at the center of her life. Juanita spent her early years in Mellen, WI, and raised her family in Grandview, WI. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Norman Unseth and Maynard Gerber; her infant son; her parents; and her siblings. She is survived by her four children-Mark, Scott (Trish), Tammy (Art), and Jeff (Tami)-as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will continue to honor her love, laughter, and legacy, including the occasional spirited competition around the game table.

Juanita's life was defined by love, resilience, and the joy she found in life's simple pleasures. Her memory will live on through the family she nurtured, the lessons she shared, and the countless moments she created. She will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who knew her.

A celebration of her life will be held in the spring at Grandview Cemetery, where she will rest beside her first husband, Norman.
