Juanita was born in Charleston, Mississippi and moved to Cleveland, Ohio at the age of four months. She was the second oldest of eight siblings, two of whom, William and James preceded her in death, along with her grandson, Andre Wilson, Jr.
Juanita graduated from John Hay High school and attended Cuyahoga Community College.
She was united in holy matrimony to Benjamin Wilson in 1968 and together they had two sons, Andre D. Wilson and Andrew D. Wilson.
At the tender age of four, she joined Mt. Hermon Baptist Church on October 3, 1943 as a candidate for baptism. During her childhood she participated in the Youth Choir and on the Youth Usher Board. As an adult member she sang with the Chancel Choir, Sanctuary Choir and Mass Choir and she served with Nurses Guild and was in the Women's Ministry for a short period of time..
Juanita worked for Forest City Enterprises and retired after thirty-six years of dedicated service. She loved to sing and travel. People often told her that she had such a pretty smile, which she loved to do.
Juanita was a member of the Christian Women in Fellowship for Weight Loss for a number of years. She learned many biblical principles for losing weight and keeping God first in that endeavor. She always said that sharing her testimony at the organization's yearly retreats was a gift that was given to her by God, to let those who didn't know, how truly awesome God really is, and for they too, to invite Him in their lives.
She leaves to mourn two sons, Andre Wilson and Andrew (Michele) Wilson; three sisters, Cleo Redmon, Geraldine (Greg) Moore and Denise (Donald) Thompson; two brothers, Napoleon (Juanita) Bunton and Tommy Redmon and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Lovingly Submitted, the Family
