Judi A Willie
1946-2025
Judi Willie, a beloved person, passed away peacefully on November 16 th,
2025, at the age of 79. Her journey ended due to a brain bleed caused by a
ruptured blood vessel. Judi's final resting place was at Eisenhower's
Renker Pavilion, where she left us at 4:55PM. She was preceded in death
by her parents, siblings, and two nephews. Her husband, David Willie, and
brothers Ben and Ed Garcia in Boise, sister Debi Cruickshank in Nevada,
along with several nephews and nieces living in Idaho, California, Illinois,
Oregon, and Colorado are among her survivors.
Judi's academic journey began at Glenns Ferry High School in 1964. She
later married David Willie, affectionately known as "Doc", on April 6, 1994.
Judi was a highly dedicated and meticulous employee working as a chip
designer at HP, Intel, and Logic Devices. Notably, she was one of the few
women microchip designers during her time. After retiring from the tech
industry shortly after her marriage to Doc, they embarked on a new
adventure together. They moved to Palm Desert and opened a charming
Bagel Store called "Bagel Bistro" in Town Center Way. The inspiration
behind this venture came from Judi's Grandfather, a Yugoslavian baker who
had a profound impact on her. Judi cherished the art of baking and owned
and operated the store from 1997 to 2007. In 2007, she sold the store to
join her Husband who was transferred to Bangkok Thailand and Singapore
where they lived for three years with their beloved three cats, before retiring
in Indian Wells, California.
Judi and her dad, a gifted musician, won a National Fiddlers contest in
Idaho. As a kid, she always wanted to play the piano, but her parents could
only afford an accordion, of which he played with her dad's fiddle playing.
Her dream was to be a female Jerry Lee Lewis. Judi was a truly special
person. She was honest, had a great personality, and quick witted. She
loved her cats and wanted everyone to be happy with a big heart. She will
be deeply missed, as God has asked her to join Heaven to lighten everyone
up a bit. She also won't be afraid to tell them how it is.
The Family would like to thank all the doctors, nurses, aids and emergency
responders. Memorial gifts can be made to Eisenhower Health Foundation.
Judi did not want any special celebration of life or funeral. Her ashes will be
kept by her husband and later joined with his.
