Judith M. Alexander

Judith (Weeks) Alexander passed quietly into glory on March 13, 2023. She was predeceased by her husband of almost 57 years, Herbert Alexander, her parents Clement and Helen Weeks and her brother Gary Weeks. She is survived by her four children; Darrell (Gail) Alexander of Salt Lake City, Utah, Dale (Joy) Alexander of Las Vegas, Nevada, Dwight Alexander of Binghamton, New York and Amy Alexander of Binghamton, New York, as well as grandson; Jacob Alexander of Las Vegas, Nevada and siblings; Rev. Glen (Jennifer) Weeks of Harvest, Alabama, Jackie (Rev. John) Mitchell of Dalton, Pennsylvania and Greg (Toni) Weeks of Las Vegas, Nevada. Judy is will also be missed by her cousins, nieces and nephews brothers and sisters in-law and friends. Judy was a long-time member of Bethel Baptist Church in Vestal before moving to Las Vegas for 12 years during which time she was a member of Desert Hills Baptist Church. Four and a half years ago she moved back to New York and again joined Bethel Baptist Church.
Judy loved children. Judy was a homemaker for 23 years and then a child care provider for 20 years. When she retired, she became a Foster Grandparent in the third grade at L. W. West Elementary in the Union-Endicott District. She was also the Beginner Sunday School teacher at her church for many years. She cherished fond memories of all the children she cared for as well as those in the classrooms in which she helped.
Judy's family would like to thank the nurses at Wilson Hospital who took care of Judy in her final days as well as the teams of dialysis technicians who cared for her over the past seven years.
There will be calling hours for Judy at Bethel Baptist Church on Jensen Rd. in Vestal, NY at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 18 with a memorial service to immediately follow at 11 a.m.
