Judith Evelyn "Judy" Angell, born May 26, 1942, in Memphis, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on June 28, 2025, following a brief illness.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Edgar "Eddie" Angell; her sons, Rusty (Connie) Angell, Charles Angell, Chris (Robin) Angell, Tony (Margaret) Angell, and Alan (Julie) Angell; her sisters, Patricia Turner and Debbie (Jerry) Calvin; her grandchildren, Tyler (Lacey) Angell, Ali (Chris) Weatherspoon, Kellyn (Ryan) Middleton, Madelyn (fiancé Grayson Green) Angell, Maddox Angell, and Hayden Angell; her great-grandchildren, Avery Angell, Jackson Angell, Bowie Weatherspoon, Wilder Weatherspoon, and Winnie Weatherspoon; several nieces, nephews, and many great friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Lois Smith, and her brothers, Larry Smith, and James Shannon Smith.

Judy spent many years as a devoted homemaker raising her five boys before building a career in banking, eventually retiring from Great American Books. She was an avid reader who found joy in music-especially singing and playing alongside Eddie. She was a talented cook who loved playing cards (particularly solitaire), bingo, and belonged to a local bowling club in her younger years. In retirement, Judy and Eddie enjoyed traveling the country in their RV and spending winters with friends in Florida. Above all, Judy cherished time with her family.

A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at Hendersonville Memory Gardens, Funeral Home and Cremation Center. The visitation will begin at 10:00am with the service to follow in the chapel at 12:00pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Judy’s name to Alive Hospice, Feed Sumner, or a charity of your choice. Flowers are welcome, but the family kindly requests no roses.

Guests are encouraged to wear colorful and casual attire in honor of Judy’s vibrant spirit. Her favorite color was purple.
