Spilsbury Mortuary - St. GeorgeJudith Ann Crockett Phillips, 83, passed away peacefully of natural causes on February 24, 2026, in St. George, Utah. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert (Bob) Phillips; her brother, Jay; and her sister, Lois.
Judy was born on September 17, 1942, in Logan, Utah, to Don Emery Crockett and Florence Henderson Crockett. She graduated from Logan High School, and shortly after, met the love of her life, Bob Phillips. The two were married in January 1961 and soon began their life together as a military family. With their first son, Robert Kelly, in tow, they moved frequently during Bob's service in the U.S. Air Force. During this time their second son, Richard, was born.
After Bob's military service concluded, the family returned to Logan, where Bob began a career in construction and Judy embraced her calling as a full-time mother-a role she filled with devotion and joy. Their family grew to include two more children, Michael and Jennifer. In 1977, the family moved to Ogden so Bob could further his career, and they became long-time members of the South Ogden 75th Ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Judy faithfully served in many church callings, particularly those working with youth. Young people were drawn to her warmth and humor, and she quickly became the "neighborhood mom" to many. When her own children were grown, Judy worked in a preschool, where her natural kindness and patience continued to bless young lives.
As time went on, Judy found new joy in her role as grandmother. She and Bob were blessed with 15 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren with more on the way. Each of these children held a special place in her heart. She was their cook, chauffeur, counselor, and peacemaker-and always their biggest fan. Whether cheering from the bleachers at a game, attending a dance recital, or hosting a holiday gathering, Grandma Judy's presence made every occasion feel brighter.
Her marriage to Bob-solemnized in the Logan Temple-endured for 55 years, until his passing in 2016. Judy will be remembered for her kindness, her unshakable loyalty, her boundless capacity to forgive, and her unwavering love for family. Her legacy lives on in the generations she nurtured and the countless lives she touched.
