Judith Ann (Vivirito) Bazzett

April 14, 1942 – January 22, 2026

Judith Ann (Vivirito) Bazzett was born on April 14, 1942, in Chicago, Illinois, to Blanche and Anthony Vivirito. She passed away on January 22, 2026, leaving behind a legacy defined by strength, creativity, compassion, and unwavering devotion to her family.

Judith was a devoted single mother who worked tirelessly to provide a stable and loving home for her children. She was the proud mother of two: her daughter Sandi (Michael) Paul and her son Todd (Mark) Bazzett. Through dedication, resilience, and hard work, she balanced career and family with grace, setting a powerful example of independence and perseverance.

She worked as a secretary for legal, engineering, and national defense firms, where she was highly respected for her professionalism and skill. Judith was an accomplished typist, capable of typing 85 words per minute, a talent that reflected her precision, focus, and strong work ethic.

Judith was a loving grandmother to Shawna, Ryan, Kristen, Kelly, and Geo, and a cherished great-grandmother to Everett, Ella, Emberly, Eden, Regan, Caleb, Rhett, Shiloh, Lakelynn, and Joshua. Her family was her greatest joy, and her love for them was deep and enduring.

She is survived by her brother Lee and was preceded in death by her parents, Blanche and Anthony Vivirito; her brother Dale; and her beloved daughter Sandi.

Judith had a deep appreciation for nature and art. She found joy in gardening, had a keen eye as a home decorator with effortless style, and was a talented cross-stitcher whose patience and creativity shone through every piece she made. She loved driving out to a lake to enjoy moments of peace and reflection. A passionate advocate for social and environmental justice, Judith lived her values with empathy and conviction. She also adored cats, whose companionship brought her comfort and happiness throughout her life.

Judith will be remembered for her strength, her artistic spirit, her sense of justice, and the unconditional love she gave to her family. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved her.

For those who wish to pay their respects, a Visitation wil be held on January 26th, 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM followed by a Funeral Service beginning at 11:00 AM.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Heartland Animal Shelter, Wheeling, Illinois, in honor of Judith's love for animals
