Judith Brower Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Wight & Comes Funeral Chapel on Jan. 6, 2026.
Judith Brower age 75 of Watertown, SD passed away January 6, 2026.

Visitation will be on Saturday, January 10, 2026 from 5-7pm at Wight and Comes Funeral Chapel in Watertown, SD.

Judith "Judi" Brower was a woman who truly loved life and lived it with a smile. Born in Mitchell, South Dakota, on March 1, 1950, to Harold "Bill" and Mildred Brower, Judi grew up in Watertown and eventually dedicated her career to caring for others as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). While she spent a decade serving the community at the White Care Center, her true "work" in life was making people happy.

Judi was the ultimate people person. She never met a stranger, only friends she hadn't laughed with yet. Whether she was cheering (loudly!) for the Minnesota Vikings and Twins or cruising the countryside with her husband, Howard, Judi found joy in the simple things. She and Howard were married on March 25, 2014, and spent their years together capturing photos of the South Dakota landscapes they loved.

If you knew Judi, you knew about her "favorite boys." She was a fun-loving, happy mother who filled her home with laughter and support. That joy only grew when she became a grandmother. To her thirteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild, she wasn't just Grandma-she was their biggest fan and the person who made every visit an adventure. Her playful spirit and the way she made each family member feel like they were the "favorite" is the legacy she leaves behind.

Judi's vibrant memory is cherished by her husband, Howard Clark of Watertown; her sons, Jon (Julie) Chapman of Plainfield, IN, and Patrick (Elizabeth) Chapman of Rapid City; her daughter-in-law, Beth Chapman; and her beloved siblings, Steve Woods and Steve (Sue) Compton.

She is now reunited with her son, Chuck Chapman, her brother, Hugh Brower, and her parents.

I will miss you Judi! You are a wonderful friend and I´m grateful for the fond memories I have with you. From our long drives and great conversations about anything and everything, to making sure your haircut was just perfect, to hanging out at the guest house and stealing you away from the front desk for a break, and ALL of the laughs! I could go on and on. Thank you for being YOU and for being such a great friend to me, especially when I needed a big hug. Those were the best. Love you Judi!
