Judith Carter Obituary
GREENFIELD, MA - Judith A. (Sevene) Carter, age 86, a longtime resident of Greenfield, Massachusetts passed away on Wednesday, March 11, 2026 at Regal Care, Greenfield, MA.
Born in Greenfield, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth W. Sevene and Ruth L. (Rennie) Sevene. Judy was a graduate of Greenfield High School and then went to hairdressing school in Springfield, MA and began a career that spanned more than 60 years. Judy enjoyed many years of having a mobile home at Potters Campground, Lebanon, Maine and also cruising to Alaska and the Caribbean many times.
She was predeceased mother, father, and husband Edward Carter on December 10, 2005, and survived by life partner Edward N. Tombs, her brother Kenneth Sevene of Swansey, NH and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Arrangements will be private with interment to take place in the South Cemetery, Leyden, MA at the convenience of family. The family is grateful for the compassionate care she received from the nurses and staff at Regal Care during her final weeks.
