Judith A. Curry
Nee: Graves
Judith A. Curry was born on December 6, 1942 to Oliver and Caroline (Nee Drout) Graves, in Joliet, Illinois. She departed this life on March 31, 2026 in Peru, IL.
On August 11, 1962 Judy married the love of her life Joseph Curry in Joliet. Together they welcomed 7 children, Joseph (Danette) Curry, Jeffrey Curry, John (Susan) Curry, Jerald (Laura deceased) Curry, Jason (Lisa) Curry, Jeannine (Otis) Powell and Julia (Joe deceased) Coffey. Judy was a proud grandmother to 24 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Aside from all of her children and grandchildren, she also leaves behind her brothers; Richard (Tammy) Graves, Charles (Debbie) Graves, and Terry Graves; sisters Bonnie (Sonny deceased) Wilm, Tammie (Walter) Mistakevich, and Sherry (Tom Ledford) Bippus, Beverly (Billy) Mistakevich and Rose Ann (Daryll) Powell; daughter-in-law Karrie Curry, Brother-in-law John Curry; sisters-in-law Betty Curry and Vicki Panapento, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Preceded in death by her husband; parents; great grandchild Joseph Curry IV; brothers Carl (Sharon) Graves, Larry (Gayle) Graves, Robert (Cindy) Graves, Sisters Shirley (Lindell) Norwood, Carol (Jim) Smith, Ruth (Sonny) Conley, Gloria (Jerry) Spencer and Linda in infancy; as well as brothers-in-law Bob Curry and Bill Curry and sister-in-law Nancy Smith.
The family would like to thank OSF St. Elizabeth Hospital and the 3rd floor nurses for the loving care given to Judy.
Funeral Services will be held, Saturday April 4, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. the Blackburn-Giegerich-Sonntag Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Elmhurst Cemetery. Visitation Friday 2-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
