Judith A. Gillespie 70, passed away September 23, 2021 at St Francis Hospital Indianapolis. Judy was born December 15,1950 in Springfield, MO to the late Edward and Doris (Schmill) Gabonay.
As a child she attended St. Catherine of Siena Grade School in Indianapolis, she then graduated from Emmerich Manual High School in 1968 where she was an avid tennis player. After graduation Judy went on to graduate from IUPUI with a Bachelors degree.
Judy was a homemaker and loved to bake, her family was the center of her world.Judy was a true inspiration to others and always had a can do attitude despite her own physical challenges.
Survivors include daughter Katy Treadwell (Chris), son David Holmes, grandchildren Brayden, Addison and Megan Treadwell, sisters Kathy Cobb (Patrick) Jeanne Gabonay, brother David Gabonay, several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Bill Gillespie, sister and brother-in-law Linda and Mike Holmes and both parents.
Visitation will be held Monday September 27,2021 from 4-8pm and a Rosary service at 7:30pm at O'Riley Funeral Home 6107 S. East St. Indianapolis, IN. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30am on Tuesday September 28,2021 at Nativity Catholic Church, 7225 Southeastern Ave Indianapolis, IN 46239.
