Judith "Judy" Gollner, 79, of Madrid, Nebraska, passed away on April 30, 2024, at Indian Hills Manor in Ogallala.
Judy was born on August 17, 1944, in Grant, Nebraska, to George and Dorothy M. (Perlette) Ford. She was a proud graduate of the Madrid High School class of 1962.
On April 17, 1981, Judy married Don Gollner on a farm north of Venango. Their union was blessed with two children, Nikki and Brian.
Judy spent her whole life in Perkins County. She briefly lived in Denver, Colorado, where she attended the Central Switchboard School in 1964 and completed their Switchboard and Receptionist Course. Judy worked at TRW in Ogallala, Nebraska for 17 years, traveling with her husband Don with a harvest crew to different states. Judy enjoyed helping her father, George with his annual wheat harvest until George retired from farming. After Don's passing, Judy worked for Regier Equipment, as a postmaster relief at the Madrid Post Office, and helping during lunch hour at the Bootleg Bar and Grille.
Judy was active in attending her children's sports activities. She enjoyed reading books and listening to older country western music. Judy was also known as the family's historian and could remember past relatives and members of the Perkins County community from years past.
Judy was preceded in death by her husband, Don; her parents, George and Dorothy Ford; and a nephew, Tom Hilferty. Judy is survived by her children, Nikki Pfeiffer and Brian Gollner; stepson, Brent (Patty) Gollner; stepdaughter, Donya (Rick) Hengehold; step-grandchildren, Chloe (Joshua) Onken and their three children, Zeke (Maru) Gollner, Will and Kate Hengehold; her sisters, Georgia Barbee, Wyvonne (Lyle) Hilferty, Eva (Dale) Grothman, and Margaret "Maggie" (Bob Neuhalfen) Ford; her aunt, Shirley (Perlette) Stephens; a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews, cousins, and friends.
