Judith Henry Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Vay-Schleich & Meeson Funeral & Cremation Chapels - Greece Chapel on Oct. 31, 2025.
Judith C. Henry passed away on October 23, 2025 at the age of 75. Predeceased by her husband Michael, after a loving marriage of 51 years. She is survived by her children Kristen Henry, Kevin Henry (Petra), Lauryn Henry, and Ryanne Henry (Dave); and her brother David Remick (Robin). She was an adoring grandma to Penelope, Isabella, Lowell and Quinn.

Born in Newton, MA, Judy graduated from SUNY Morrisville in 1970. After many years dedicated to raising her children, she returned to school and earned her BS in Biology from SUNY Brockport in 1992. She taught High School and Middle School Science in Greece, Brockport, West Irondequoit and St. Lawrence Catholic School. She was known for incorporating unexpected elements into her lesson plans, like songs and creative lab experiments, to engage students and help them learn.

A natural teacher, Judy also instilled her children and grandchildren with a love for science, music, art and the natural world around them.

Above all, Judy was a "people person." She sang in several church choirs and the Greece Choral society, volunteered at the Breast Cancer Coalition, participated in the Suburban Rochester Art Club and regularly volunteered at her children's school events. Everyone was welcome at the Henry Household, and spending time with friends and family was very important to her.

She will be deeply missed.

Funeral services will be held at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 3003 Dewey Avenue, on Wednesday, November 5 at 9:30 AM.
