Judith Hinton Obituary
Cummington, MA - Judith A. Hinton, 79, of Cummington passed away peacefully on July 18, 2025. She was born June 2, 1946, to the late Raymond and Dorothy (Murphy) Young in Northampton. Judy grew up in Northampton and attended local schools, graduating from Northampton High in 1964. She served as office manager for Teton Builders for over 30 years, obtained her broker's license and owned Teton Reality, as well as being a Mary Kay Independent Beauty Consultant. Judy loved to visit the ocean, especially Gloucester MA, with her friends and family. In her younger years, she enjoyed ice skating and loved painting ceramics with her sister Gail. Judy will be greatly missed by her husband of 47 years Joel Hinton of Cummington, her daughter Bethany Rose of Shutesbury, her son Joshua and his wife Nichole Hinton of Phippsburg ME, and her 3 grandchildren Lukas Hinton, Ajay Hinton, and Jacob Rose. She was predeceased by her beloved sister Gail Lumbis. Calling hours will be held Friday August 1, 2025, from 4:00pm-6:00pm at Ahearn Funeral Home, 783 Bridge Road Northampton. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation.

I am so sorry to hear about Judy. May she rest peacefully now. I´m sorry I´m away on vacation or I would stop to give my condolences to you all.

I originally met Judy in the mid 1980's, when both of us were doing part-time sales; I was living in South Worthington, and selling Discovery Toys all over the area. She was a great help to me, and a joy to exchange stories with! We kept in touch off and on over the years, comparing notes re our growing families. I am sure she is missed beyond words; my sincerest condolences to all her loving family; she was taken too soon.
