Judith Jeannine Holbrook

Judith Jeannine Holbrook, a cherished mother, granny, and devoted wife, passed away peacefully on September 17, 2025, at the Medical City of Weatherford. Born on August 21, 1941, in Niagara Falls, New York, Judy embodied love, warmth, and an unwavering dedication to her family.

Judy’s professional life was marked by her role as a bookkeeper for Carter and Crawford, where she worked diligently for many years before enjoying a well-deserved retirement. Her sharp mind and meticulous nature were evident in her career, but it was her heart that defined her legacy. Above all, Judy aspired to be a mother, and family was paramount in her life. She was a loving wife to her husband, Dean Holbrook, with whom she shared 55 wonderful years of marriage.

Judy is survived by her devoted husband, Dean, and their three sons: James Holbrook and his wife Lisa, Bob Holbrook and his wife Elaine, and David Holbrook and his wife Charlie. She is also survived by her beloved daughter, Debbie Knight, along with nine grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren, all of whom she adored deeply. Judy's family was her pride and joy, and she cherished every moment spent with them.

Judy was preceded in death by her siblings: John Stephen, Jerry Stephen, and Peggy Stephen. She also grieves the loss of her grandson, Christopher Todd Holbrook.

Judy (also lovingly known as Hootie) found joy in gardening, crocheting, scrapbooking, reading, and catching up with friends and family. Her love for nature was reflected in her favorite flower, the daisy, and she cherished the beauty of autumn, her favorite season. Judy’s nurturing spirit and her passion for creating a warm, loving home will be remembered fondly by all who knew her.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during the visitation on September 21, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Funeral Home in Mineral Wells, Texas. A memorial service celebrating Judy’s life will follow on September 22, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Garner Baptist Church in Garner, Texas.

Judith Jeannine Holbrook will be dearly missed, and her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and all who had the privilege of knowing her. She touched many lives with her kindness and love, and her spirit will continue to inspire those she left behind.
