Judith (Judy) A. Jameson, 84, of Sidney, Ohio, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving children, on Tuesday, February 3, 2026 at The Landings in Sidney. She was born April 8, 1941 in Hamilton, Ohio the daughter of Elmer M. and Martha (Mobley) Purkey who are deceased.
In 1965, Judy married Robert “Bob” Jameson who preceded her in death in 2022. She is survived by three children, Rob (Tiffany) Jameson of Sidney, Laura Jameson of Dublin, Ohio, and Amy (Sean) McGill of Sidney; sister-in-law Mary Jameson of Hamilton, Ohio; sister-in-law Regina (Darrell) Long of Dayton, Ohio; five amazing grandchildren, Evan (Ryan) Jameson, Alyssa Jameson, Ryan, Mya, and Jack McGill, all of Sidney and two bonus grandchildren, Chase VanTilburgh of Dublin, Ohio and Carter VanTilburgh of Sidney; eight beloved nieces and nephews and their spouses and children; along with several cherished friends.
Judy graduated from Hamilton High School, class of 1959 and moved to Sidney after marrying Bob in 1965. Judy enjoyed working with children as a part-time school aide for Sidney City Schools and also enjoyed working with the public while employed at US Bank. After retiring from her banking career, she enjoyed reading, gardening, traveling and spending time with her family, especially her precious grandchildren. She was so proud of all of them. Judy also held a special place in her heart for all kinds of animals, especially dogs.
In keeping with Judy’s wishes, a private service will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family. Judy’s final resting place will be Pearl Cemetery. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the exceptionally devoted staff at The Landings in Sidney and to the compassionate caregivers at Wilson Health Hospice. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Wilson Health Hospice or SCARF (Shelby County Animal Rescue Foundation).
