Judith Ann Bills Kulin, age 82, of Greenville, Texas, passed away after a short illness on January 3, 2023. Her family will be holding a Celebration of Life at a later date.
Judy was born in Princeton, Illinois, and grew up on the family farm in Sheffield. She attended Bradly University, where her roommate introduced her to her future husband. Judy and Harvey married in June of 1960 and located in Champaign where Harvey finished his studies at the University of Illinois. They raised two children and made homes in several Midwest states, before settling down in Greenville in 1985.
Judy enjoyed working in an educational environment and had retired from the Communication Services Department of East Texas State University (which is now Texas A&M, Commerce).
She loved horses and animals in general. Other interests included following several sports teams, listening to NPR, and reading; she was thrilled when the Outlander novel was made into a television series.
Judy is survived by her husband, Harvey; son Harvey J. Kulin from Tahuya, Washington; daughter, Sherie Russell and husband, Brad of Garland, Texas; six grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; brother, Fred Bills and wife, Sharon of Granville, Illinois; a niece and nephew; two great nieces.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Burton and Darlene Bills.
Judy’s family ask in lieu of flowers, donations be made to your local animal shelter or plant a tree in Judy’s memory.
