Judith Charlene Heaton Matheny

Judith is strongly on my mind at this time and I just wanted to add a note. I knew her through our membership in The Advanced Study Group where our membership worked to stay up to date on research and professional experiences as mental health professionals. This involved gatherings in various states and in numerous communities, and much togetherness over many years. Judith was one of the brightest and most sincere members of the group. We all loved her and all of us knew without a doubt her clients were blessed to have her. We also knew without a doubt she loved her family deeply.

Just ran across a beautiful note Judith wrote me several years ago and looked for her online. Deeply saddened to see she passed away. She was a lovely lady, inside and out. She left a lasting impression on my life for which I am deeply grateful. RIP Judith...

I fondly remember Judy maybe from Melbourne Heights and/or Barrett Jr. High ... at my age not sure where but I know we were friends. Condolences to her family and friends. Wish we'd met again in our older years. Jean Peters Shindlebower

Judith was our neighbor and Friend for many years. She was very kind to me; I appreciated that. My sympathy to her friends and family . May many happy memories serve to comfort you!. Judith will be missed!

I was a colleague and friend of Judith for nearly 30 years though some professional board work we had both volunteered to do -back in the mid 1990s But Judith isnt someone I was ever going to just let leave my life- as she was such a bright light of spirit and compassion. I am grateful to have known and worked with her as are all who had that chance - Im certain of that.

Judith was such a lovely person- truly. She was passionate about her work both with clients and therapists she mentored/supervised. Gratefully, she leaves a legacy with her family but also with the families and professionals she worked with over the many years. I'm grateful our lives intersected-she will be missed.

Judith was and continues to be an inspiration to me to be a better person. I looked up to her, and found her very helpful in my efforts to do right.

Lifting your family in prayer for the untimely passing of our beloved friend. Judith changed so many lives for the better, including my own. Rest In Peace dear friend.

I am so saddened to learn that this kind generous woman has passed. She will be sorely missed by me and I believe by all who were lucky enough to know her. My prayers will be with her family.

Dear rebeccca, cal and Elizabeth, my heart goes out to you. I loved Judith (Judy when first I knew her) and I know thisd: she loved you more than anything else. I am out of town so will miss the service. I am sorry, I hold all of you close.

I am so very sad to read this! I was just thinking I should call Judith to have lunch!! Judith definitely changed the direction of my life for the better and I've never been the same!! She was a powerful example to me and many others I know! May she rest in eternal peace and know that she was loved and respected by many!

I will always remember her kind voice, so soothing. Such a loss to our community. I have great memories of many slumber parties and sleepovers at her home. So sorry Rebecca and Graham.

Judith was a much-loved and admired colleague in the Louisville mental health community. She was also just plain fun to spend time with. She will be greatly missed.
