Judith Mayer Obituary
Judith was born on January 29, 1944, in Lima, a daughter of the late Ernest and Dorothy (Crider) Martin. She married Larry Eugene Mayer on February 23, 1963, in Lima and he preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by a great grandson, De`Shonn Mayer, and five siblings, Larry Martin, Thomas Martin, Richard Martin, Donnie Martin, and Linda VanHoose.
Judith is survived by four children, Ronald Mayer of Lima, Cheryl Mayer of Lima, Sandra Mayer of Paragould, AR, and Keith (Tiffany) Mayer of Lima, 19 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren, three brothers, Steven (Hattie) Martin, Gary (Arlene) Martin, and Dennis Martin, and several nieces and nephews.
Judith worked at Vermont Elementary School in California as a teacher's aide and on noon duty, after moving back to Lima, she worked at Ryan's Steakhouse until she retired. Judith enjoyed playing Bingo and watching Stockcar racing. She was an avid Elvis fan and visited Graceland many times. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her family.
A celebration of Judith's life will be held at a later date.
Arrangements are in the care of Shoffstall Funeral Home, Lakeview, OH. Condolences may be expressed at shoffstallfuneralhome.com.
