Judith "Judy" McCarthy, age 69, passed away peacefully on November 14, 2025, at her home in Bradford, MA. Born on July 11, 1956, she was the daughter of the late Edward & Eleanor McCarthy.

Judy lived a life filled with joy, laughter, and deep appreciation for the simple pleasures that brought her happiness. She was known for her cheerful spirit and love of socializing, always bringing warmth and energy to those around her.

For over four decades, Judy received services from the Department of Developmental Disabilities and resided in Lowell, Massachusetts under the care of Arc of Greater Lowell. In 2015, she moved to Haverhill, Massachusetts where she lived with her Shared Living Providers, Donna and Bill Shea, through the Shared Living Collaborative. Their home became Judy's home for 22 years - a place where she was cared for with compassion and love.

Judy had a zest for life that was evident in everything she did. She delighted in watching her favorite television shows like Baywatch and Knight Rider and had a special fondness for superheroes - especially Superman - and all things Marvel. A devoted baseball fan, Judy cheered passionately for Boston Red Sox and cherished memories of attending New Hampshire Fisher Cats games.

Her days were often filled with outings to Hampton Beach where she enjoyed vacations by the ocean and playing games in the arcade. She loved going to movies, eating out at restaurants, grabbing coffee at Dunkin's, and spending time with friends and family. Trips to Florida to visit her mother and brother were especially meaningful to her. Whether it was bowling nights or card games at home, Judy embraced every opportunity for fun and connection.

She also found joy in travel - particularly adventures that included sleeping in hotels - and had a playful side that came alive through arcade games and superhero movies. Her enthusiasm was contagious; those who knew her will remember her bright smile and boundless energy.

Judy is survived by her brother, David McCarthy and his wife, Tina. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

A Celebration of Life will be held in the Spring at Shared Living Collaborative, 43 Highland Rd., Merrimack, MA. Donations in Judy's memory may be made to Shared Living Collaborative at the same address.

May her memory bring comfort to those who knew her.
