Saltillo – Mrs. Judith "Judy" Conwill McCullough, 84, went to be with her heavenly Father Monday, December 15, 2025 from North Mississippi Medical Center following her earthly birthday on December 14, 1941. She was born to the marital union of William Roy and Helen Lawhon Conwill. She was a 1959 graduate of Tupelo High School and was a lifelong resident of Lee County. Judy's love was in public education as a Dyslexia Interventionist for Lee County School system. She married Billy McCullough July 17, 1959 and they shared 60 years of marriage before his death September 10, 2019. She loved her grandchildren and kept them during the summer months. Her hobbies included playing golf during her earlier years, traveling and spending time at the family cabin at Pickwick. She was a longtime member of Harrisburg Baptist Church where she was a Sunday School Teacher and Nursery worker.
A celebration of Judy's life and home-going will be at 3 PM, Thursday, December 18, 2025 in the Sadie Holland Memorial Chapel of Holland Funeral Directors with Dr. Forrest Sheffield officiating. Burial will follow at Lee Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 1:30 PM to service time Thursday only.
Survivors include her son Mike McCullough (Sherri) of Tupelo and daughter Susan Dorrough (Frank) of Saltillo; grandsons, Will Dorrough (Kirby) of Germantown, TN, Matthew Dorrough (Kait) of Guntown, Wesley McCullough (Hannah Claire) of Tupelo, and Blake McCullough (Kadin) of Saltillo; 7 great-grandchildren, Wyatt, Lilah Kate, Gentry, CeCe, Parker, Kinsley, and Walker, and all their families. She was preceded in death by her husband Billy, her parents and sister Joyce Williams.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons and Frank Dorrough and Jim Cady.
Memorials may be made in Judy's memory to Sanctuary Hospice, P.O. Box 2177, Tupelo, MS 38802. Expressions on love and sympathy may be posted at hollandfuneraldirectors.com/obituaries. Those who cannot attend may view the services at 3 PM, Thursday, December 18, 2025 or anytime thereafter at hollandfuneraldirectors.com/livestreaming.
