Judi McDaniel, age 87, Springfield passed away Friday, September 6, 2024 at Castlewood Village. Judi was born April 27, 1937 in Kansas City, Kansas. She was the daughter of Tandy and Bonita Jenkins. She was united to David McDaniel on September 24, 1960 in Guam. Judi was an avid collector of Swarovski crystal figurines, enjoyed traveling the world, a few of her favorite places to see were Japan, Africa and Paris and she loved to read. She was known for her generosity and care for others. Judi was married to the love of her life, David, for over 62 years. She was proud of her faith and will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother.
Survivors include two sons, Kent McDaniel of Springfield, MO and Steve McDaniel and wife Shelayne of Springfield, TN; two grandchildren, Madi and Jake; one sister, Carolyn and a host of family and friends. Judi was preceded in death by her husband, David. Her parents Tandy and Bonita Jenkins, two sisters Barbara and Lois and brother Kenneth.
Following a family trip to Nairobi, Kenya in 2000 David and Judi became financial and prayer supporters of mission outreaches in the country of Kenya. In honor of their heart for missions, in lieu of flowers, memorial gifts can be made to S & S Global ministries. All financial gifts will be utilized in their honor on a missions trip to Kenya in February 2025 as their family travels to Kenya to provide support for Kenya's Kids Home for Street Children and to build a church and teaching facility.

A visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 10, 2024 at Greenlawn Funeral Home South. Funeral Services will begin at 10:00 a.m. at Greenlawn South and burial will follow at Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Springfield, MO. Arrangements have been entrusted to Greenlawn Funeral Home South.
