Judith Mock Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Buklad-Merlino Memorial Homes - Yardville on Oct. 21, 2025.
Judith Marion Mock, 83, went home to be in the loving arms of our Lord on October 19, 2025 at Brookdale Memory Care, Hamilton, NJ. A Celebration of Judith's Life will be held on Thursday, October 23, 2025 with visitation from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at the Buklad-Merlino Yardville Memorial Home, 30 Yardville-Allentown Road, Yardville. A prayer service will begin at 1:00 p.m.

Judy was born in Trenton, NJ to William and Marion Voorhees on August 28, 1942 and was a graduate of Trenton High School. She has three daughters whom she loved more than anything; Judy often said that God knew that she was meant to be a "girl mommy." She moved to Groveville, NJ in 1968 and lived there for over 50 happy years. Through the years Judy was an award-winning salesperson for Sarah Coventry, Tiara, and at the Sears jewelry counter.

Judy was a member of the Groveville United Methodist Church, where she served as a long-time member of the Groveville Christian Women. As part of her service to the Lord, Judy maintained a long-time card ministry - reaching out to those in need of spiritual uplifting and compassion; she also regularly visited sick and shut-in congregants, friends and neighbors at home, in hospitals and in nursing homes. During her visits, Judy always greeted everyone with her beautiful smile and ministered to the sick by singing hymns and praying with them.

Judy's happy place was Atlantic City, with Seaside Heights being a close second, where she could be found under the boardwalk watching the waves with her mother Marion.

Judy loved to be in the spotlight! She performed at church calendar parties, plays, and dinners. She faithfully shared her gift of singing God's praises as a soprano in the Groveville United Methodist Church choir during church services and many Christmas Cantatas. Her patriotic outfits were a hit every year at the Groveville Memorial Day parade; parade-goers couldn't wait to see what she was wearing each year! She also loved to dance, and she and Jack enjoyed their Saturday evenings of dinner and dancing for many years. She and Jack also loved to travel; they took several cruises and countless trips with Starr Tours.

Judy leaves the legacy of her cherished daughters and sons-in-law: Wendy and Richard Stormont and Rebecca and Donald Dawson, and daughter Sandra L. Cronce. As beloved Mema, she will be deeply missed by her grandchildren, Matthew Stormont, Lexi Dawson and Morgan Dawson.

Pre-deceased by her parents, her loving husband of 37 years, Jack, her brother Ronald Voorhees, and her nephew Joseph Malloy. Judy is survived by her sister, Jill Malloy and goddaughter, Merideth Malloy; her sister-in-law, Gail Voorhees; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Also left to share her memories are the extended Mock, Lane, and Cronce families, as well as countless friends.

Contributions can be made in Judy's name to the Christian Women of Groveville United Methodist Church or the American Cancer Society.

Burial will be private and at the convenience of family.

I was just informed about Judy being called to her Heavenly home today 11/5/25. I was honored to be Judy & Jack´s hairdresser for almost 10 years and loved them both. I often said that I physically touch customers every day but rarely do I feel touched by my customers but Judy and Jack were blessings. Jack loved Judy the way every man should love their wife and the loving twinkle he would get in his eyes when he talked about her....and to know Judy was to love her.... I would describe her as love and sunshine walking through the door. I feel very confident that she is singing gospel hymns in Heaven next to Jack. Sandi I know that the last years have been full of transitions with overseeing her care now it´s your turn to relax and reset. ~ Jennifer Moorhead-Vietor with Hair By Southern Jen (Former Manager of Love My Hair Salon @ Dover Park Plaza)
