Judith Morley Obituary

Published by Lane Family Funeral Homes & Cremation Service - Canfield Chapel on Jul. 20, 2011.
Judith "Judie" Marlene Morley passed away peacefully on July 20th, 2011 at 1:45PM at her home in Cortland, Ohio after a brief and hard fought battle with cancer. She was born August 15, 1943 in Warren, Ohio, the daughter of Steve and Wilma Savanyu Holenchak. A lifelong area resident, she was a 1961 graduate of Warren G. Harding High School, serving on all reunion committees for her class. A 1964 graduate of Trumbull Memorial Hospital School of Nursing, Judie worked as a maternity nurse from 1964-1972 at St. Joseph's Riverside Hospital. She married John David Morley, her "handsome groom," as she would say, on September 12, 1964 at St. Mary's Church in Warren, Ohio. She was a member of St. Robert Bellarmine Church in Cortland where she served as a eucharistic minister. She was also a pastoral care volunteer at Trumbull Memorial Hospital, where she loved praying with patients, "May our loving God wrap his arms around you and keep you in his loving care today, tomorrow, and always." She also volunteered at Trumbull Mobile Meals. A passionate person, she enjoyed many: her family, homemaking, tennis, golf, and the outdoors, especially her flower gardens. She and her husband traveled through all 50 states. Her beautiful life was fortified by her many great friends. She cherished these dear friends who enlivened and enriched her life in so many ways. She is survived by her husband, David; her children, Mrs. Jeffrey (Pamela) Vennitti of Waterford, Virginia, Mrs. Andrew (Kelly) Harris of Richmond, Virginia, and Mr. Jeffrey (Kristina) Morley of Glen Allen, Virginia; her grandchildren Corinne, Jonathan, Julianne, and Colin Vennitti, William and Clark Harris, and Addison and John Henry "Jack" Morley. A funeral mass will be held at 11am, Monday, July 25, 2011 at St. Roberts Bellarmine Church, Cortland with Father Carl Kish officiating. The family will be receiving friends on Monday at the church from 9:30am until the time of the service. Material tributes may be made to St. Robert Bellarmine Church in Cortland, Ohio or Trumbull Mobile Meals.
