Judith Mott Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Joe Morris & Son Funeral Home on Jan. 7, 2026.
Judith Ann Robinson Mott, of Pensacola, Florida, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 3, 2026 at Sacred Heart Hospital after a valiant journey through cancer since July of 2016. Born on September 25, 1962 in Selma, Alabama to Judith Maxine Slade and Jerry Frank Robinson, Judy was known for her open, friendly, and loving spirit.
After graduating from Thomasville Academy in Thomasville, Alabama, she attended the University of Montevallo for a time. She spent a number of years working at Cracker Barrel, where she brightened the days of all with whom she served. She considered being a mother her greatest gift, and spoke often of how much she dearly loved Mallary and Joshua.
Any conversation with Judy almost invariably ended with her expressing gratitude and sharing appreciation for her connection with you and others. "Thank you, my friend; I love you!" was her frequent farewell. She loved being creative, writing notes and making gifts for people, and being playful, laughing and telling a joke, as well as loving a good tear-jerker movie. She had a deep faith in God as well as interest in all God's people. She shared her stories with others to encourage them and to leave the world a better place, and strangers quickly became beloved friends as she listened to their stories with genuine compassion and interest. Judy is especially remembered for saying, "there are so many things we do not have a choice about, or control over, but we can choose to love and accept all people."
Judy is survived by her children, Mallary Powell and Joshua Mott; former husband, Donald Mott; parents, Maxine and Jerry Robinson; siblings, Jerry Frank Robinson Jr, Kerry Sue Kelly, and Deborah Louise Walker; lifelong beloved friend, Becky Luker; and her Pensacola Freedom Circle of Friends. She was preceded in death by her sister, Angela Marie Armstrong, and her beloved grandparents to whom she frequently referred, Ma Slade and Pa Slade.
A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, January 11, 2026 at 3:00 PM at St. Cyprian's Episcopal Church, 500 N Reus Street, Pensacola, Florida. In lieu of flowers, Judy requested that donations be made either to your local Autism charitable organization or your local homeless shelter, especially for women, where people are treated with dignity and respect.
