Judith C. Myers

Judith C. Myers, age 79, died Thursday, February 16, 2023 at Generations at Neighbor's in Byron, IL. She was born June 4, 1943 in Oregon, IL the daughter of Vivian and Walcie (Smith) Kirkpatrick. She graduated from Holbrook, Nebraska High School in 1961 where she was valedictorian of her class and an accomplished track athlete in the hurdles. She held several state records and was invited to an Olympic Trial Qualifier Event. She then attended Oregon Bible College, Arkansas Polytechnic College, and Aurora University. Judy worked for many years as the secretary at the Oregon Church of God, for the Church of God General Conference, and as Director of Lord's Harvest International. Judy married Gary E. Myers on Dec. 10, 1966 in Oregon, IL. She was a member of the Oregon Church of God. Judy loved spending time with her family, especially being with her children and grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents. She is survived by her husband Gary Myers of Oregon; 2 sons: Steve (Marian) Myers of Pittsburgh, PA, and Todd (Shelley) Myers of Oregon, IL; brothers: Vivian (Paula) Kirkpatrick, II of Hutchenson, MN; Sydney (Deirdre) Kirkpatrick of Blaine, MN; sisters: Becky (Don) Needham of Colorado Springs, CO; Deborah Kirkpatrick of Colorado Spring, CO; and Donna (Jim) Dimmick of Bend, Oregon; 6 grandchildren: Mallorie Myers, Maggie (Demitry) Strodtman, Zachary Myers, Benjamin Myers, Abigail Myers, and Noah Myers; 1 great grandson Kacen Strodtman; many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Funeral service will be held 10:30 am Monday, February 20, 2023 at the Oregon Church of God with the Rev. Michael Hoffman, pastor of the church, officiating. Visitation will be held Sunday, Feb. 19, 2023 from 4:00 - 7:00 pm at the church. Private burial will be held at the Stinsonian Cemetery near Oregon.
