Judith A. Newby

Judith Ann Newby (nee Shaffer), of Media, PA, passed away October 26 after an inspirational 10-month battle with cancer. Judy is survived by her husband Joseph Newby, son Kevin Chudy (Jennifer), daughter Dawn Altomonte (Joe), daughter Emily, and grandchildren Aleksandr, Ekaterina, Inessa, Joella, and Charlotte. She is also survived by several cousins and close friends. Judy was dedicated "archery mom" to her children, rarely missing a tournament, traveling to Long Beach, CA, to Salt Lake City, UT, to Ypsilanti, MI to watch them shoot. She was an avid member of Calico Cutters Quilting Guild, enjoyed gardening, and loved to bowl with St. Dorothy's Bowling League. Judy was predeceased by her parents Charles L. Shaffer and Ruth M. Shull (nee Church). Friends and family are invited to calling hours on Friday, November 2, 9:00 – 10:45 AM, with memorial service to follow at 11:00 AM, at Resurrection Episcopal Church, Rockdale, 2131 Mount Rd., Aston, PA 19014 (if using GPS, enter 667 Mount.
