Judith Parrott Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Coats Funeral Home - Waterford on Dec. 10, 2024.
Judith Virginia Parrott, 90, of Waterford, Michigan, passed away on December 8, 2024. She was born on July 13, 1934, in Fremont, Michigan, to the late James and Sylvia (Bundy) Blandford.
Judith graduated from Alma College with a bachelor's degree in social work, where she met the love of her life, Charles Parrott. The couple married in 1957 in St. Louis, where Charles was stationed during his time in the Army. They shared 56 wonderful years of marriage before Charles's passing in 2013.
A devoted and loving mother of three, Judith cherished every moment spent with her family. She was known for her spirited nature, thoughtfulness, and love for the outdoors. She enjoyed water aerobics, traveling, and reading mystery and crime novels, especially those by Nora Roberts.
Judith and Charles treasured their summers at their trailer in Port Austin, Michigan and winters in Gulf Shores, Alabama. They were active members of the Michigan Club, where Judith served as secretary for a few years. The couple enjoyed cruises and made a tradition of walking the Mackinac Bridge every Labor Day. Judith's adventurous spirit, thoughtful nature, and zest for life left a lasting impression on all who knew her.
Judith is survived by her children, Charles (Carol Morin) Parrott II, Cynthia (Daryl) Leese, and Chad Parrott; grandchildren, Nicholas (Paige), Jacob, Adam, Breanne, Brittany, Becca, and Brandon (Katie); great-grandchildren, Adilynn and Dresden; and many friends. She is predeceased by her beloved husband, Charles Parrott; her parents, James and Sylvia Blandford; and her brother, James Blandford.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Shriners Hospitals for Children.
