Judith Ellen Johnson Paykoc, 72, passed away on Saturday, December 13th, 2025.
Judith was born in Omaha, Nebraska in 1953. During her father’s military career, Judith and her family lived in Nebraska, California, Maine, and Kansas. Judith attended primary and secondary schools in Lansing, Kansas. She graduated from Lansing High School in 1971. Judith went on to earn her Bachelor’s degree from Emporia State University, where she met her husband, Cagri “Charlie” Paykoc. She and Charlie were married in October of 1975 and settled down in Denver, Colorado where they raised their family and started their family business.
Judith is survived by her husband Cagri “Charlie” Paykoc, their three children Jonathan (his wife Anna), Carrie (her husband Jeremy), Altan (his wife Jamie), six grandchildren, her sister Claudia Johnson Bartlett, sister-in-law Cathy Harris Johnson, nieces, nephews, and many other extended family members. Judith was preceded in death by her father Major Milo Claude Johnson, her brother Paul Johnson, and her mother Norma Brewer Johnson.
She will be laid to rest at Mt. Muncie Cemetery in Leavenworth, Kansas, with a graveside service. Family will host a memorial service January 31st at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Colorado.
