JUDITH ANN REDDICK
COLUMBIA… Judith Ann Reddick, a resident of Columbia, Alabama, passed away Tuesday, February 13, 2024, at her home. She was 72.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Friday, February 16, 2024 at First Baptist Church – Headland Worship Center with Dr. Cecil M. Sanders, Jr. officiating. A eulogy will be given by Charlotte Williams. Burial will follow in the Gardens of Memory Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. Thursday, February 15, 2024 at Wright Funeral Home & Crematory. Wright Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.
Flowers will be accepted or contributions may be made in Mrs. Judith name to the First Baptist Church – Headland Youth Fund; 301 East Church Street, Headland, Alabama 36345.
Mrs. Judith was born in Dothan, Alabama to the late Howard Wilson Givens and Hazel Brookins Givens Bond. She lived in the Newville / Headland, Alabama area through her youth and young adult life before moving to Columbia, Alabama thirty-five years ago. She attended Newville High School and Headland High School. Judith had previously worked at Westpoint Pepperell, Wex-Tex, and the Dothan Progress. She loved to travel with family and friends wherever the journey led. She was very adventurous, which led to her to become a certified scuba diver. She enjoyed the beach, camping at the lake and trips to the mountains. She loved her church family, First Baptist Church – Headland. Her heart and joy was serving in the youth dept, VBS and Emmaus. She was a member of the Dr. Morris Sunday School Class. The passion of her life was her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She loved to play all types of games with her grandchildren.
Along with her parents, she was also preceded in death by her grandparents, Wyatt Isaiah Givens and Leona Florence O’Daniel Givens; and her brother, Phillip Givens.
Leaving to cherish her memories is her husband, Charles “Chuck” Reddick; her sons, Tim Ethridge (Malena) and Jim Ethridge (Laura), her daughter, April Hughes (Bobby); her step-sons, Michael Reddick (Christi), and Bryan Reddick (Kristin); her sister, Chrysta Buchanan; her brothers, Kenneth Givens (Joan) and David Givens (Ann); her grandchildren, Holly Hewitt (John Russell), Hunter Johnson, Anna Davenport (Christian), Lauren Brown (Jameson), Mallory Ethridge (Jonathan Crowe), Chance Ethridge (Nini Nguyen), Taylor Ethridge, Cydnie Reddick, Carter Reddick, and Katelyn Cabarubio; her great-grandchildren, Livy Crowe, Millie Crowe, Ridge Hewitt, and Reese Hewitt; her several nieces and nephews; and her canine companion, Mellie Bouton.
Serving as active pallbearers will be Ronnie Snell, Jameson Brown, Dewayne Barr, Scotty Peacock, Chance Ethridge, Hunter Johnson, and Carter Reddick.
