Judith Lee Rode, 84, of Cragsmoor, NY passed away peacefully on November 18, 2025, in Ossining, New York. Born on June 7, 1941, in Ferndale, New York, Judy lived a life marked by dedication to family, a passion for history and collecting, and a meticulous attention to detail that touched every aspect of her life.

Judy retired from Sullivan County Community College, where her commitment and organizational skills left a lasting impression. In retirement, she embraced her many interests with the same care and precision she brought to her professional life. She found great joy in researching genealogy and compiling detailed family histories—preserving the stories of generations past for those yet to come. Her love of collecting was evident in her carefully curated dolls and fine glassware collections, each piece reflecting her appreciation for beauty and craftsmanship.

Judy's warmth and devotion were most deeply felt by those closest to her. She is survived by her two sons: Thomas Spohrer (with his wife Marsha) of Chandler, Arizona; and David Spohrer of Ferndale, New York. She also leaves behind three cherished grandsons—Tim, Steven, and Kevin—children of Thomas. Her sisters Barbara Chapman and Ruth Ann Vincent of Western New York remain as well to honor her memory.

Judy's family extended through marriage as well. She is remembered fondly by stepchildren Dianna Conklin of Ellenville, New York; Glenn Rode of Queensbury, New York; and several step-grandchildren. Her stepson-in-law Wilfred Towne of Ellenville played an especially meaningful role in Judy's later years, offering support and companionship that brought comfort during that time.

She was predeceased by her parents Howard and Thelma Dimmick; her beloved husband Albert W. Rode; and stepdaughter Cynthia Towne.

Judy's legacy lives on through the lives she touched with her kindness, thoughtfulness, and unwavering attention to the details that made every moment special. May her memory bring comfort to all who knew and loved her. A Funeral Service will be held on December 3, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Loucks Funeral Home 79 North Main Street Ellenville NY, 12804. A private burial at Fantinekill Cemetery will follow.
