Dr. Judith Thomas

I adored Dr Waugh . She was so special and always liked to c what I was wearing .she always said not to tell someone that they look nice today. If so that meant that didn´t look nice the other day.but to say you look nice. She always looked so pretty and I loved her husky voice. What an outstanding woman. I life well lived.

Dr. Judith Thomas served as a mentor to my career in higher education. Her work ethic and professionalism were the desired characteristics of a true academic. She was tough on purpose because the real world was tough. Straight, no chaser. We learned of our family relations as distant cousins. Her legacy will continue to influence generations of students and educators for years to come.

When I became a member of Southeastern Pennsylvania Chapter of the Drifters Incorporated this tall, elegant and astute Woman came up to me and said, you are a "bad mamma´ jamma!´ (Dr. T had 4 degrees and was ultra intelligent, her husband was a medical doctor, she was a J&J Mom, a Link, a Delta, down to earth and she loved to dance to Nelly, It´s gettin´ hot in here´ and Sista´girl chat) - She became my mentor in the Drifters and in academia, recommending me for my first teaching opportunity at Lincoln University filling in for a Professor on leave for a few weeks. She continued to encourage me to get my doctorate and be a college professor.

We always stood next to each other for optics and at meetings when she would see me, she gave me her beautiful smile, signature sign and say "You a bad mamma´ jamma.´
