Judith Thompson Obituary

Judith Ann Thompson, 86, passed away peacefully on January 1, 2026, in Midland, MI.
Born on February 20, 1939, Judith dedicated her life to her family and community. She worked in food services for the Bullock Creek School District, where she contributed to the well-being of countless students over the years. Her devotion extended beyond her work-she was a generous soul who found joy in caring for others and sharing time with those she loved.
Judith is lovingly remembered by her husband, Leonard R. Thompson; her children: Catherine Krenzke and husband Larry Boyer, Susan (Richard) Repucci, Jeffrey (Angie) Thompson, and Gary Thompson; and her cherished grandchildren: Ryan (Rebecca) Krenzke, Morgan (David) Heath, Melissa (Paul) McManus, Kristin (Thomas) Hunton, Erin (Bryce) Kirschenmann, Ashley (Brady) Maloney, Drew Thompson, Gabriel Thompson, Conner Thompson, Noah Thompson, Brandi Riggle, and Brooklyn Riggle. She is also survived and loved by her sisters Jan Sutter and Jeanne Burgess, sister-in-law JoEllen Schwartz, nieces, nephews, and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father Joseph Schwartz; mother Avis (Bill) Kuhne; and brother Joseph Schwartz.
A woman of many interests, Judith enjoyed volleyball, soccer, golf, fishing trips, and visits to the casino. Her love of sports was matched only by her deep commitment to family gatherings and celebrations. She was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church and found strength in her faith throughout her life.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to Barton Woods Assisted Living and Heart to Heart Hospice for their compassionate care. In honor of Judith's memory, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
May Judith's memory bring comfort to all who knew and loved her.
