Judith Laura Francom Urry beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend peacefully passed away at home, August 9, 2023, surrounded by family. She was born of goodly parents, William Boley and Edith Irma Francom on December 17, 1936, in New York, New York.
Judy married the love of her life, Lawrence Walter Urry on June 4, 1956, in the Salt Lake Temple. They have 10 children: Cynthia (Charles) Slack, David (Kathy), John (JaNae), Bill (Sandra-deceased), Rebecca Curtis, Larry (Sallie), Sharon (Sean) Peters, Matthew (Sheri), Sarah (Marc) Anderson, and Amy (Mike) Eggett.
Judy was a mother in Zion, a woman of faith and a valiant daughter of God. Her children were her greatest treasure and she enjoyed many great adventures with them. She loved people and cared deeply for animals, especially birds and her dogs. She enjoyed art, drawing and painting. Judy loved being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She faithfully served in many callings, including Guide Patrol leader, Primary teacher and serving in the Bountiful Temple. She and her husband served in the Baltic States Mission. She dearly loved the Lithuanian people and cherished her time with them.
Judy is survived by 10 children, 61 grandchildren and 90 great grandchildren. Siblings and spouses: Kay Francom, Roland (Chris) Francom, Diane (Clay) Christiansen, Bob (Ann) Francom, Rick (Vivi) Francom, Middy (Scott) Follett. She was proceeded in death by her husband, parents, brother (Bill Francom), daughter-in-law (Sandra), grandson (Matthew Slack), great grandchildren (Nathan McCarty, George Yingling and Rachel Torgerson).
Judy has fought a good fight, she has finished her course, she has kept the faith.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 19, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at the Mueller Park 5th Ward, 1320 East 1975 South, Bountiful, Utah. A viewing will be held on Friday, August 18, 2023, from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Russon Mortuary, 295 North Main Street, Bountiful, Utah, and Saturday morning at the church from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. prior to the funeral. The interment will be at the Lakeview Memorial Cemetery.
