WHEATON, Judith J. - of Clio, age 71, died Friday, May 8, 2009 at McLaren Regional Medical Center. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held 10:30 AM Friday, May 15, 2009 at Saints Charles & Helena Catholic Church, Rev. Fr. Gerald Ploof officiating. Family will receive visitors from 9:30 AM until time of services. Contributions in her memory may be made to St. Johns Hospital Pediatric Unit. Judith was born March 30, 1938 in Chicago, Illinois to the late George and Leona (Cecka) Chlanda. She had resided in the Clio area since 1979 coming from Detroit. Judith married Richard Wheaton in Nov. 1959. He preceded her in death in July 2000. She was a member of Saints Charles & Helena Catholic Church in Clio. Judith enjoyed sewing, baking and gardening. Surviving are: sons, Kevin Wheaton of Flint, David Wheaton of Lowell and Kirk (Lorie) Wheaton of Lake City, GA; daughters, Colleen (Kim) Wright of Lake Ann and Diane (Jeff) Taylor of Mt. Morris Township; 11 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; sister, Janet Ann (Kenneth) Mack of TN; several nieces and nephews. Her son, Eric, also preceded her in death in 1976.
