Judithe Bee Obituary

Judithe J. Bee

Judithe ("Judy") J. Bee, 94, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, January 18, 2026, after a courageous battle against dementia. Judy was born in Toledo, Ohio, on October 7, 1931, to Edwin and Louise (Miller) Lane. She was a 1949 graduate of Waite High School.

In 1952, Judy married the love of her life and classmate, Robert ("Bob") Bee. They were married for 33 years until Bob's passing in 1985. Judy and Bob celebrated the birth of five children, Pam (the late Rick) Ferguson, Kyle (the late Ramon) Sevilla, Gordon (Sharon) Bee, Tracie Hearst, and Thomas (Nikki) Bee. Judy's niece, Beth (Jose) Matanane, was raised by her as a fourth daughter.

Judy is survived by 14 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter. She is also survived by her brother, Edwin (Jane) Lane; and sister-in-law, Janice, wife of the late Alan "Skip" Lane. Judy is further survived by numerous nieces and nephews, all of whom she truly adored. Preceding her in death were her parents; her sister, Joyce; and her nephew, James Bradford Ransom.

Judy retired from First Federal Savings in 1990. Our dear mother truly enjoyed being a part of everything – especially when it involved volunteering. She loved people and people loved her. She generously gave her time to the Toledo Police Auxiliary, Waite High School Athletic Boosters, Waite High School Purple and Gold Alumni Assoc, Waite High School Golden Luncheon (a founding member), W.A.I.T.E. Inc. Scholarship Foundation (a founding member), East Toledo Christmas Parade (a founding member), Eastern Stars Yondota Chapter, East Toledo Jr. Football League, East Toledo Family Center (volunteer and part-time employee until age 88). Judy was a lifetime member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church in East Toledo.

Judy was honored with the Distinguished Citizen and the Century Award by the East Toledo Family Center. In 2023, she was named Grand Marshal for the East Toledo Christmas Parade. Another cherished honor for our mom was being named as a Distinguished Waite Alumni. Judy was proud of her East Toledo roots.

She was truly and deeply loved by her family, extended family, and countless friends. She will be missed, but her personality and huge heart will be remembered forever.

Family and friends may visit, Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Homes, Oregon Chapel, 440 S.
