Ware/Orange – Judy A. Anair, 82, of Orange, and a former long-time resident of Ware, died on Wednesday evening, November 26, 2025, in Athol Hospital in Athol.
She leaves her caregiving son, Richard A. Anair, Jr. of Orange. She was predeceased by her husband of 49 years, Richard A. Anair in 2021, and her daughter, Cindy Ann Lonnecker. She was born in Riverside, California, daughter of the late William S. and Arlene R. (Turner) Lonnecker.
In addition to being a homemaker, Judy worked as a secretary in a law office and then with a land surveying company for many years. She enjoyed snowmobiling with Richard during the winter months, camping and traveling in the summer, attending festivals, decorating and cooking for the holidays, crocheting and sewing, and baking cakes, pies, cookies, and her infamous blueberry buckle. She helped to maintain a family farm at home, with chickens and turkeys, tending to her flower gardens and being outdoors, watching and feeding the birds. After she moved to Orange in 2022 to be closer to Rich, she enjoyed visiting him often, playing with his cats, and driving for their weekly jaunts to get hamburgers.
A graveside service for Judy will be held on Thursday, December 4, 2025, at 11AM in New Saint William Cemetery, West Main St., in Ware. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you please donate to your local not-for-profit, no-kill animal shelter as Judy was very fond of opening her home to needy, unwanted, and/or abandoned animals.
