At home on Wednesday, October 6, 2021, Judy P. Barlow, age 86, of Ross Twp. Beloved wife of the late Walter Barlow; daughter of the late Peter and Irene (Toth) Marko; mother of Tracy Barlow of Boca Raton, FL and Mark (Karen) Barlow of Franklin Park; sister of Sandy Batson of OH; aunt of Stephanie (John) Boggs and Jill Trimble both of OH; great aunt of Sydney & Tyler Boggs. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Judy grew up in Youngstown, Ohio where she attended Chaney High School. She was a 1956 graduate of Kent State University, with a Speech Major and a Minor in English. Kent State is also where she met her future husband of 40 years, Wally Budrevich-Barlow. They settle in Mineral Ridge, Ohio, where they started their family. During this time, she taught English at Fitch High School in Austintown, Ohio, until her two children were born. After that, she became a devoted mother and wife. She also lived briefly in Charleston, WV. In 1967, they moved to Pittsburgh. Judy then became a substitute teacher for North Hills High School, and taught at Duff Business School. She worked and volunteered for many different organizations with some of her favorites being Hickory Farms at the Northway Mall, Welcome Wagon Hostess, Swimming Aerobics instructor at Club Julian, and later in life, being a Granny Nanny at Memorial Park Church and for friends. She loved traveling the world and some of her favorite trips were to Aruba, St. Croix, Hungary, Israel, Cancun, Hawaii and Australia. Her hobbies included bicycling, gardening, puzzle's, cooking for her family and was a major movie buff from an early age. With a zest for life, Judy remained very active to the end. She loved to watch the birds and was especially fond of Cardinals and Hummingbirds. She was not afraid of death, as she knew and trusted in her Lord Jesus. She will be sorely missed by her family and many friends and acquaintances that she had made over the years.
