Judy Burns, age 67, of Palestine, died Thursday, October 30, 2025, at the St. Francis Hospital in Memphis. She had been in poor health for the past several months.
Judy was born January 14, 1958, in Forrest City, and was the daughter of Marvin Moore and Hazel Deaviser Moore. She lived in St. Francis County all of her life, was retired from the United States Postal Service, and was a member of the Midway Baptist Church.
Judy is survived by one son, Fletcher Burns, and Brittney Wright, of Palestine, one daughter, Candace Burns of Virginia, three brothers; Ricky Moore of Palestine, Leon Moore of Brinkley, and Tony Moore, of Jacksonville, Arkansas, two sisters; Deshae Keeling of Palestine and Rose Dent of Jacksonville, Arkansas, five grandchldren; Morgan Burns, Cache Burns, Maylee Burns, Meadow Barrera and Raleigh Barrera, and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Paul Thomas Moore, and one sister, Margaret Ann Spencer.
Services will be held at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel, 11:00 A.M., Monday, with burial in Bell Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, 10:00 A.M., until the time of the service. Stevens Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. You may log on to stevensfuneralhome.net for the online registry.
