Judith Chynoweth Obituary
July 6, 1956 -December 11, 2024"It is more blessed to give than to receive." Acts 20:35It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Judith (Judy) Lovine Collins Chynoweth, 68, of Naples, Florida. She peacefully passed away on December 11, 2024, after a brief sudden illness.Judy truly knew that it was more blessed to give than to receive. Her generosity knew no bounds.Judy was a loving wife and mother and a beautiful soul who would help anyone, and she fiercely loved those dearests to her.Judy was born on July 6, 1956, to Howard and Lectie Collins in Concord, North Carolina.After Judy graduated from Stanly High School in 1975, she went on to graduate college from Wingate University where she met the love of her life, David Chynoweth. David and Judy were married on September 7, 1979.Judy and David went on to have one daughter, their pride and joy, Carolyn Elizabeth.Judy worked as a dedicated and caring nurse her entire life, at various doctor's offices in Naples throughout the years where she cared deeply for every patient she encountered.In her free time, Judy enjoyed spending time with her husband attending antique car shows across the country, showing their pristine vehicles and winning many awards and accolades.Judy was a hardworking volunteer at dozens of car shows, and she served on the committee of the Naples AACA. Judy also loved to read, and she was an incredible cook and baker.Judy was predeceased by her parents, Howard & Lectie Collins, and her one and only sister, Brenda Kay Collins Eudy.Judy is survived by her husband, David Louis Chynoweth, and daughter Carolyn Elizabeth Chynoweth.Judy's family and friends were all greatly enriched by her presence. Her departure leaves an unfillable void in their lives, yet they find comfort in the memories and everlasting love they shared. Although Judy is gone, she will live in our hearts forever.Services will be held at Meadow Creek Primitive Baptist Church in Locust, North Carolina on Friday, December 20, 2024, at 3 p.m. There will be a Celebration of Life for Judy in Naples, Florida on a date to be determined.
