Judy Kay (Carlton) Franks, 81, of Buckner, MO passed away on December 6, 2025, at the Blue Springs Wellness Center. A visitation will be held from 10-11am on Friday, December 12th at the First Baptist Church of Buckner. Her funeral service will begin at 11am with burial to follow at Buckner Hill Cemetery.
Judy was born on September 16, 1944, in Harrisonville, Mo. She was a homemaker and a faithful Baptist. Judy enjoyed walks, visiting with church friends, and doing puzzle books. Judy is preceded in death by her husband, Gerald (Jerry) M. Franks; parents, Wilbur B. and Dorothy Bess (Casey) Carlton of Harrison, AR; and sister, Marlene Wisenaut.
She is survived by her sister, Shirley Evans, Belton, MO; her sons, Russell Franks and wife Kristen, Buckner, MO; Ron Franks and wife Motty, Belton, MO; and Roger Franks, Greenwood, MO; daughter, Sara Conley, Berryton, KS; grandchildren, Alex (Jennifer), Matthew, Ryan, Paige, Kyle and Cora; great-grandchildren, Allison Rene and Luna Marie.
Judy was a long-time member of the First Baptist Church of Buckner. The family suggests contributions to the First Baptist Church of Buckner or to Brighton Hospice. Judy was loved deeply by her boys and grandchildren.
