Judy Joy Hayward, 84, of Battle Creek, Michigan passed away on January 26, 2026. Judy was born on January 19, 1942, in Delton, Michigan, the daughter of Elwyn and Lillian Hayward (Lydy).
Judy graduated from Hastings High School in 1960. She earned a bachelor’s degree in business from Western Michigan University in 1983, made career and retired from the Federal Center in Battle Creek, Michigan in 2007.
Judy was hardworking, determined to do whatever she put her mind to.
Judy had a passion and was gifted with exceptional skills for sewing, quilting, baking and other arts. Additionally, Judy enjoyed curating her outdoors of her home even receiving Master Gardener Certification.
Judy deeply loved and provided for her family.
Remaining to cherish Judy’s memory are children Brett and Julie Vanderwater (Austin), Cliff and Dinah Vaden (Vanderwater). She has three grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Preceding Judy in death are her parents Elwyn and Lillian Hayward (Lydy), brother Dale Hayward and brother Alan Hayward.
