Judy Michael
Age 82 of Wilmington, Illinois, formerly of Brookfield, Illinois, died peacefully on Wednesday, March 11, 2026 at her home.
Born July 11, 1943 in Los Angeles, California, Judith Ann was the daughter of Casimir and Norma (Niemand) Pszczola. She was raised and educated in Lyons, Illinois where she graduated from Morton West high school with the Class of 1961. It was in Lyons where Judy met Keith Orville Michael, and together they were married on March 16, 1963 at Zion Lutheran Church in Lyons. She and Keith made their home and raised their family in Brookfield, Illinois for many years until they relocated to Wilmington in 2004.
Judy was a devoted employee of Fanny May Candies, and also worked as a secretary and a lunch mom when her children were young. She was an avid reader, enjoyed showing her creative side through painting and drawing, as well as taking pleasure in bowling. Much of Judy's life was spent devoted to being a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother. She was an inspiration to her children and was blessed to see her daughters grow into strong women with families of their own. Being the family-oriented woman that she was, there was never a holiday spent without every family member attending. She was her families biggest fan, always attending her children's and grandchildren's events. Judy's legacy of love and family will be carried on for generations to come, built on the strong foundation laid by her and her beloved Keith.
Survivors include four children: Michele (Tim) Lantvit of Bolingbrook, IL, Pamela (Richard) Tworek of Wilmington, Sheri (Brandon) Evans and Colleen (Rob) Henderson, both of Plainfield, IL; grandchildren: Nicholas (Veronica) Capozziello, Tyler (Elissa) Lantvit, Christopher (Alyssa) Tworek, Morgan (Nick) Lantvit, Madyson Lantvit, Nathan Tworek, Sydney Henderson, Ethan Evans, Payton Henderson, Nora Evans, Lucy Evans, and Tori Henderson; seven great grandchildren: Alivia and Sylvia Capozziello, Savana, Theo, and Montana Ehlen, Easton Lantvit, Preston and Hudson Henderson; brothers and sisters-in-law: Nadine (the late John) Pankow, Donna (the late Wayne) Holous, and Duane (Karen) Michael and a beloved aunt and great aunt to many cherished nieces and nephews.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents and her husband; one brother, Raymond (Stefa) Pszczola.
Per Judy's wishes, cremation rites are being accorded.
The family will receive friends for a memorial visitation at Baskerville Funeral Home, 700 East Kahler Road, in Wilmington on Thursday, March 19, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Judy will be laid to rest with her husband at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery on Friday, July 10, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. All are welcome to attend.
