Judy Carolyn McFalls Pittman, age 74, of Marion, passed peacefully at her residence on Saturday, December 20, 2025.
Born on December 23, 1950, in McDowell County, she was the daughter of Louise McFalls and Paul McFalls. She is preceded in death by her father and her brother Michael McFalls.
Judy was a devoted Christian who loved the Lord and faithfully sang in the church choir. She cherished her family deeply, with a special love for her grandchildren. An avid reader, Judy had a kind and generous spirit and never met a stranger. Known affectionately as a “hugger,” she delighted in showing love to everyone she met. She also served as a hospice volunteer, offering compassion and comfort to others.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 57 years, Dean Pittman; her daughter, Jennifer Young and husband Chris; two grandchildren, Drew and Rylee; her mother, Louise McFalls; her brother, Jerry McFalls; her sisters, Cheryl Mitchell and husband Tony, and Nancy Moffitt and husband Ronnie; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 22, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. in the Beam Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. Terry Roach officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m., one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will follow at McDowell Memorial Park.
