Judy Dianne Sellers, a loving and caring soul, was born on February 1, 1951, in Pickens County to the late James Whitaker and Pauline Foley. She left this world on August 29, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love and devotion to her family.
Dianne took great joy in her hobbies. She loved to sew, often creating beautiful quilts for her loved ones. Her green thumb and talent for gardening shown bright with flowers vegetables and all things green under the sun, a reflection of her nurturing personality and willingness to help plant the seeds of love that would grow strong for generations to come. She also found happiness in listening to music and dancing to anything and everything that got her moving especially a good Rod Stewart song her favorite being Maggie May. Above all, Dianne treasured the time she spent caring for all the children in her family, always putting their needs and happiness first.
Her proudest accomplishment was undoubtedly her family, which she held dear to her heart. Dianne’s life was a testament to the love she shared and the bonds she cherished.
She will be remembered for her kindness, her creativity, the open arms fresh cup of coffee and warmth of her home to friends’ family and all the strays in between, but above all the way she loved all and touched our hearts every day. Dianne (Nana) will be missed dearly by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Dianne is survived by her cherished husband, Leonard Sellers; Son, Brian Lackey (Renae); Daughters, Angela Dillard (Kevin), Patricia Sims, and April Sellers; Brothers, Donnie Whitaker (Bernice), Roger Whitaker, Jimmy Whitaker, and Richard Whitaker (Allison); Sisters, Darlene Stancil (Wayne), Elaine Rankin (Glenn), and Brenda Kickery (John); Grandchildren, Cody Sims, Patrick Sims, Tanner Lackey, Aaron Newton , Ashlyn Hix, Samantha Newton, Reagan Lackey, Charlotte Lackey, Reanna Whetstone, and Madelynn Arcuri; Great-Grandchildren, Aria Rose Newton, Freya Jade Newton, Jaxon Storm Simpson, and Landon Sims; and many Nieces and Nephews who she loved deeply.
In addition to her parents, Dianne is preceded in death by a son, Jason Aaron Lackey; Daughter, Kimberly Renae Lackey, Brothers, Jerry Grant, and Tony Whitaker.
A visitation will be held at Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home from 2 - 4 PM on Wednesday, September 4th.
