JONESBORO - Judy Ann Stewart, 78, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, Aug. 25, 2025.
She was born in Jonesboro, on Oct. 14, 1946, to James and Opal (Manis) Gyngard. On April 16, 1981, she married Dale Stewart, Sr., in Milligan Ridge, and they spent 44 years together as husband and wife, best friends, and partners.
Judy was a soldier for Christ, a prayer warrior, and a member of the Horseshoe Bend First Baptist Church. She was a faithful contributor to St. Jude's Hospital and other charities. She loved to fish, was talented in art and decorating, and enjoyed reading God's word and witnessing to others. Her favorite times were reminiscing with family, watching the snow fall, and the Christmas season. She loved and was a mother to many children who were not her biological children, but her children just the same.
Judy is survived by her husband of 44 years, Dale Stewart Sr. of the home; one son, Jerry McQuay of Cotter; one daughter, Julie Ann McQuay-Metheny and Nicholas Metheny of Horseshoe Bend; step children, Dale Stewart, Jr. and Jodie and Joe Edison of Mt.
