Julia "Bootie" C. O'Connor, age 101 of Butler and formerly of Penn Hills, passed away peacefully at her daughter's home on Tuesday February 17, 2026. She was the daughter of the late Elizabeth and John Wintermantel. Beloved wife of the late John J. "Jack" O'Connor, Jr. Loving mother of John J. (Nancy), III, Jeffrey (Deborah) O'Connor, and Jill Gonlin. Memaw of Melissa Stewart, Michael Gonlin, Caitlin O'Connor, and the late Zachary O'Connor. Great-grandmother of Gloria and Jack. Preceded in death by Betty Wintermantel, Jeanne McGrath, and Eileen Fisher.
Julia loved all the Pittsburgh sports teams. She had a sweet tooth and enjoyed spending time with her family.Friends and family will be received on Thursday February 19, 2026 from 3-7 p.m. at the BURKET-TRUBY FUNERAL HOME CREMATION AND ALTERNATIVE SERVICES, INC., at 421 Allegheny Ave., Oakmont PA 15139.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday February 20, at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Family Parish- St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Verona. Interment to follow at Good Shepherd Cemetery in Monroeville.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
